現任國立台灣藝術大學傳播學院院長兼應用媒體藝術研究所所長。1971畢業於國立藝專廣電科，之後於輔仁大學大眾傳播系取得學士，1992取得美國芳邦大學藝術碩士。謝章富教授長期執教於台灣藝術大學，出版不少學術論著，涵蓋數位化時代電視節目製作與企劃新趨勢及從形式與內涵探討影音創作美學。

Xie Zhang Fu was graduated from National College of Art, Taiwan in 1971, then received bachelor degree of Mass Communication at Fu Jen Catholic University in 1980, eventually got master degree of Fine Art Fontbonne University in 1992. Xie Zhang Fu had published many academic and research articles, which include The new trend of the production and planning of TV program in Digitized Era in 2001, and Investigation of TV program production in the Digital age—from Form and Content.
