「我筆寫我真」是趙其雄的書畫精神，不論是山水、花鳥、人物創作，都是他周遭最最熟悉，給他最多體悟和感動的取材，他深厚而真摯的感情表達，提供他莫大的創作樂趣，在想像空間中飛騰思緒，把生活點滴拾綴，留取本真見善淳。他認為一個藝術家本身應該是一個思想家，喜歡古典文學的他，經常悠游於詩詞歌賦中，在經典文章裡培育自我的人文素養，也在書法聯句中展現禪意無限。

“My pen writes my truth” is Zhao Qi Shong’s principle. Whether landscape, flower, bird or figure, all are familiar and touching sources for Zhao Qi Shong. He expresses profound and sincere passion toward society and life through his pen which has brought him great joy in composition. According to him, an artist should be a philosopher himself. Reading classic literature is one of his favorite activities; he always enjoys himself in the world of fiction and poetry. He has learned a lot from philology and can express creativity in Chinese calligraphy and express the spirit of zen.
